In Barcelona, people turn to protest marches to express their opinion, or hang on their balcony the senyera, the Catalan flag, or the estelada, the separatists flag, like the one I photographed the other day in the La Sagrera neighborhood.
Catalonia celebrates its national day, the Diada, on September 11. In Barcelona, people march through the downtown streets waving the Senyera, the Catalan flag, or the Estelada, the one-star flag of the independence supporters.
