This is a picture I took a few years back in the Sarrià neighborhood. On some quiet streets of Barcelona, people who live on the ground floor actually grow plants and flowers in pots they keep just outside their door.
Boasting more than 245 parks and gardens, Barcelona is definitely greener than most capitals. In addition, strollers can admire flowered balconies, and tree-filled patios all over the city.
